How To Apply For Canada Visa For Hong Kong And Croatia Citizens

If you are a citizen of Hong Kong or Croatia and plan to visit Canada, there are certain requirements that you must fulfill. Firstly, you must have a valid passport. Secondly, you must mention the additional nationality that you possess, and this must be the same passport that you intend to use to enter Canada. Then, you will be issued a Canada eTA, which will be associated with the passport that you mention at the time of application. This eTA is electronically stored against your passport in the Canada Immigration system.

EU nationals do not need a long-stay visa

If you are an EU national and you are planning to visit Canada, you don’t need to apply for a long-stay visa if your stay will be less than 180 days. However, if you are planning to stay longer than this, you will need a visa. For this reason, it’s best to apply for an eTA, or electronic travel authorization, before leaving your home country. For those who don’t want to apply for a visa, the European Union has introduced a new electronic travel authorisation system (ETIAS) for Canadian citizens. This system is an electronic way to obtain a visa waiver and is expected to be fully operational by November 2023.

Applicants from other EU countries will need to apply for a visa at the consulate or embassy in the country they plan to visit. A Schengen visa will enable you to visit other Schengen countries, as long as the total time of stays does not exceed the stated number of days. A multiple-entry visa is valid for five years.

Transit visas are not required

Citizens of certain countries are not required to apply for a Canada visa when traveling to and from the country. Currently, citizens of Australia, Argentina, Belgium, Brunei, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Morocco, Norway, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Slovenia, Thailand, and Ukraine can visit Canada without a visa.

Those who are self-employed and have a company in Hong Kong or Croatia should submit a letter requesting a business visa on company letterhead. Applicants should also provide proof of financial funds (personal bank statements or the letter from an employer). Health insurance is also required. The insurance must cover the entire length of stay and be worth at least EUR30,000 in case of a sudden illness or accident. The policy must also cover repatriation.

Those who are not EU citizens or legal residents should consider applying for Croatia family visa. This visa is available for family members of Croatia citizens or legal residents. Another option is the Croatia Digital Nomad Visa, which is available to remote workers in Croatia. The program was launched as a response to the impending pandemic and requires the parent’s signature and a copy of the applicant’s Croatia passport.

You need a valid travel document

The most common document required for this purpose is a passport. If you are from either Hong Kong or Croatia, you need to obtain a passport that has a validity of at least six months.

Those who are self-employed should submit proof of their financial health insurance. This document should include a minimum EUR30,000 in coverage for sudden illness and accidents. Additionally, the letter must be authenticated by an authorized representative.

The requirements for visiting Canada for Hong Kong and Croatia citizens differ from other countries. If you are a permanent resident of Hong Kong, you can apply for a HKSAR passport. The Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card must also be valid. The HKSAR passport does not require a visa. In addition, if you are a transit passenger, you will need an international vaccination certificate.

You need a valid eTA
